About us
Mojo Engineering Consultancy (Mojo EC) is a Copenhagen-based advisory firm specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure in emerging markets. It was founded in 2025 by environmental engineer Esra Dufft.
We combine Scandinavian engineering practice with twenty years of hands-on experience across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Our work focuses mainly on projects financed by European development finance institutions such as EBRD and AFD, and draws on experience with other international financiers and Nordic donors, including the World Bank, AfDB, the EU, NEFCO, Swedfund and Impact Fund Denmark.
We support clients through the whole project cycle: identifying and scoping investments, feasibility studies and due diligence, procurement and contract strategy and support and capacity development and deliver infrastructure solutions that are resilient to climate risk, inclusive of the communities they serve, and grounded in reliable data.
Five values guide how we run the company and how we deliver every assignment:
Integrity. Reliability. Pace. Productivity. Inclusivity.
Esra Dufft
Founder and Managing Director, MSc Environmental Engineer"It all started with a simple idea that would give me more independence: should I try freelancing? What began as a personal step soon grew into something more meaningful and impactful, for me, for my clients and for the communities our projects serve.
Through this journey, I want to create my own footprint, one built on trust, integrity and purpose.
I am a collaborator.
I believe success is never built alone. It grows through collaboration, shared values and strong partnerships. That is why I built Mojo Engineering Consultancy with a trusted network of experts alongside me: people who bring not only technical excellence, but also integrity, dedication and a collaborative spirit. I want our teams to be inclusive, bringing together diverse perspectives and actively opening doors for women experts.
I am a doer.
I like turning ideas into action and delivering practical solutions that make a real difference. I value pace and productivity: our clients can count on us to move quickly, stay focused and deliver what we promise, on time.
Mojo EC is built on that belief: combining expertise, collaboration, reliability and care to create meaningful partnerships and lasting impact."
